 BREAKING NEWS

JIMMY BUFFETT TO PERFORM AT WAIKIKI SHELL

In the pre-show interview on Radio Margaritaville before last Saturday night’s Orlando concert, Jimmy Buffett said that he and Coral Reefer Band would be performing in a place with a “Polynesian atmosphere very, very soon”…But he didn’t give a date. Reel Hawaii has learned that Bufett and his band will perform March 18 at the Waikii Shell…

Buffett last played Hawaii when he performed at Jimmy Buffett’s at the Beachcomber restaurant in 2010 in Waikiki. His last major venue show in Hawaii was in 2009 when he performed at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center and the Waikiki Shell…No info so far whether Maui is on the list again but Buffett does love the Valley isle…

Stay tuned…

Rumors spread late last year that Scott Caan‘s dad, Academy Award winner James Caan, 71, might be in line for a roll on CBS’ Hawaii Five-0 when JC visited his son here…It didn’t happen then but it is this week in the episode  Lekio...Caan, who plays the character Tony Archer, films through Friday with locations that include Kewalo Basin – where the Caan’s character Archer “had” a sailboat – and the production’s soundstage at the former Honolulu Advertiser building…Scenes today throughout the week will include the Caan men together…There’s even a New York pizza in some scenes thanks to Archer…

The episode airs Feb. 18…
