“HAWAII FIVE-0” FILMING BEGINS MID JULY

ABC  EYEING OAHU FOR ANOTHER  SERIES

CBS’ Hawaii Five-0 series is scheduled to start filming on Oahu July 15 while it continues to look for studio space. ABC president Stephen McPherson told Reel News earlier this year that the network “definitely” wants to keep a presence in Hawaii which he later explained meant basing another series here after the departure of LOST…”We’ve had a great experience in Hawaii with LOST and see no reason why to end this relationship. Hawaii has a proven track record as a great place to film with excellent crew…If we can get everything worked out, we will do another series (on Oahu)”…ABC continues to rent the Hawaii FIlm Studio at least until they determine whether Off the Map is coming to Hawaii…

Off the Map is produced by Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers (Grey’s AnatomyPrivate Practice) and creator Jenna Bans (Grey’s Anatomy) below…

Take the legendary and enigmatic Ben Keeton, who was the youngest Chief of Surgery at UCLA. He walked away from it all to found the clinic. Together with his right-hand doctor, Otis Cole, he’ll teach these newcomers how to save lives in the most challenging environment they’ve ever worked in…In this ensemble drama, five doctors who have lost their way will go to the ends of the earth to try to remember the reasons why they wanted to become doctors in the first place…
