Into the Blue 2 wraps some 20 days of filming today…

Mariah Carey pulled another all nighter last night at Sea Life Park where she filmed the remainder of her music video until about 4 a.m. The diva arrived just before 5 p.m. in a white gown. Park security made a sweep of the grounds to make sure visitors were out of the park at the 5 p.m. closing time. Despite the security someone caught most of the filming on a hand held HD camera. Part of the video has Carey on the small island in the dolphin pool. Now that the filming is over Carey and her husband Nick Cannon are enjoying a brief honeymoon at the Kahala Resort. For her music video Carey is singing “I’ll Be Lovin’ U Long Time” from the album E=MC² CD…

Still no decision on whether the Mamma’s Boys reality show for NBC will be shot in Hawaii. The program is being produced by Ryan Seacrest. The Fairmont Orchid on the Big Island wants the show based there. Turtle Bay Resort apparently has dropped out of the bidding. Filming of five episodes will begin somewhere this month…

The film is based on Kurt Eichenwald’s 2000 book, The Informant, the story of Mark Whitacre (Damon), a rising star at Decatur’s Archer Daniels Midland in the early 1990s who wound up blowing the whistle on the company’s price fixing tactics. As the highest-ranked executive to ever turn whistleblower, Whitacre secretly gathered hundreds of hours of video and audio over several years to present to the FBI. But Whitacre’s good deed dovetails with his own major infractions and struggle with bipolar disorder…

The Makaha Resort was selected because that is where in the 1970s Whitacre held several secret meetings that were recorded with corrupt MIdland officials…

Mariah Carey had a busy day. After keeping her production crew waiting some four hours Sunday she finally arrived in Portlock from the Paul MItchell Estate in Lanikai to shoot a portion of her music video  at the cliffside home of Rob Burns who founded the surf company Local Motion. Problem is Carey had a personal trailer waiting for her at the elementary school in Koko Head where she was to have her hair, makeup and costuming done. The diva’s makeup and costumes had to be driven to the cliffside location where she was made up. Filming was completed around sunset and Carey was whisked back to Lanikai where she partied with friends until around 11 p.m. She then was driven to Hawaiian Adventures Water Park for more filming. That shoot lasted to 5 a.m. Today’s filming is also at night but at Sea Life Park. If the video is not completed today Carey and accompany will return to SLP tomorrow. Husband  Nick Cannon, who arrived Saturday evening, stopped by Tiffany’s in Waikiki in a limousine and with a bodyguard on his way to Lanikai to buy his bride some jewelry. For her music video Carey is singing “I’ll Be Lovin’ U Long Time” from the album  CD. Notable security company Private Security owned by Charlie Long has had three guards protecting Carey and company during the shoot. Private Security also is doing security for the Into the Blue 2 DVD film and Warner Bros. feature The Informant starring Matt Damon…The couple have settled into the Kahala Resort for a few days…

Holkam Hall, primary location in England for Princess Kaiulani

The primary location in England for Island Film Group’s Princess Kaiulani drama was Holkam Hall and Estate which includes 25,000 acres. Holkam Hall is about 15,000 square feet. Several of the rooms in the hall were used as various locations in the nine-day filming. A nearby beach and river also were used as locations. The production selected the location also because of the production incentives offered in in Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk. Holkham Hall, home of the Coke family, was built between 1734 and 1764 by Thomas Coke, the first Earl of Leicester. For a 360-degree view of Holkam Hall and the estate go to  http://www.bbc.co.uk/norfolk/content/panoramas/360_west_norfolk_holkham_exterior_360.shtml

The forthcoming film tells the story of Kaiulani who flees civil war in her own country to come to Victorian England. It’s here where she falls in love with an Englishman and then, eventually, heads back to Honolulu to attempt to help her people…An advertising trailer for the film is stunning. PK is in post production in England. A final cut will be ready by mid October. The final budget came in at about $7 million. For now the working title of the film is Princess Kaiulani…IFG Producers Ric Galindez and Roy Tjioe praised longtime Hawaii film and television veteran Laurie Foi for the work she did on PK as local casting director. “We will be working with her again we hope,” Tjioe said…

Momma’s Boys Sought for Likely Hawaii-Based Reality Series; Kelsey Grammar Suffers Mild Heart Attack

UPDATE: Kelsey Grammer, 53, is resting in a Hawaii hospital after suffering a mild heart attack on Saturday apparently while paddle boarding with his wife Camille. The couple own a home on the Big Island. He’s scheduled to be released early this week…

AT&T descended on From Here to Eternity Beach at Halono Blowhole today to film a commercial highlighting the strength of the company’s wireless phone reception. Los Angeles-based Harvest is the production company. Some 30 extras selected by Anna Fishburn casting portrayed nudists at a beach supposed to be in Spain. No one was nude but the flesh-colored swim suits worn by the actors even from a short distance gave that illusion. Here’s the story line: An American family on someone’s suggestion visits this beach no knowing it’s clothing optional. When someone tries to warn them by telephone, the family’s non AT&T wireless service isn’t strong enough to ring their phone. So they wander in the middle of the nudists before they realize all the sun worshippers are nude. The father is played by Jim Connor; wife by Anne LaRusso; Kylee Anderson, daughter; Charles Hayes, father in law; and Kristin Apcar, daughter in law. Baker Smith is director. He directed the Toyota Superbowl commercial known as “a kayaker’s truck meets high tide.” Filming wraps tomorrow at Makapu’u beach. The commercial is costing about $300,000…
