Welcome Back NBC: NBC and Ryan Seacrest’s Momma’s Boys reality series want to film some or all of its five-part series in Hawaii as early as June. Show execs have contacted the state film office about possible locations and are said to be considering shooting the show on any one of the islands. The Big Island may have an advantage since co executive producer Andrew Glassman also executive produced Average Joe: Hawaii in 2004 which was shot on the Big Island. The other EP is Seacrest. (right) 

The show would have a crew of about 70. One luxury Big Big Island hotel already already is showing interest in hosting the production. Here’s the show’s premise: Momma’s Boys takes the awkwardness of the home-visit episode of The Bachelor and builds an entire show around it.  The show features a group of mothers and their “complacent sons” living together with several potential mates. The moms will evaluate the best matches for their boys. “Anytime I make a decision either personally or professionally, I have to ask myself … what would my mother say?” Seacrest told reporters during the announcement. “Like it or not, I am a true momma’s boy.” Momma’s Boys will premiere in late summer after NBC’s Olympics coverage…

 

 

Russian born Boris Krutonog, who was one of Duane “Dog” Chapman‘s best men at his wedding to Beth at the Hilton Waikoloa on the Big Island is suing the Chapmans and the producers of Dog the Bounty Hunter for allegedly not paying him some  $5 million for co producing the show. Krutonog is best known as Helmsman Lojur from Star Trek: TNG. He was listed as a co exec producer on Bounty Hunter until 2007. According to court records, around 1995, Krutonog introduced himself to Chapman and later entered into the first of a series of contracts wlth “Dog” that allegedly gave him exclusive rights to produce a television show based on Chapman’s exploits. The suit also charges that Duane and Beth Chapman whose birth name is Alice Barmore Smith with “episodes of psychotic behavior, violent and outrageous conduct” during the production that created “an intolerable and hostile workplace”…Dog and wife Beth filmed a fifth-season episode of The Bounty Hunter Monday night at Maui’s D.T. Fleming Beach Park where they celebrated their anniversary with a catered beach dinner prepared by an onsite chef…

Eventually there will be thousands of standard definition and high definitions clips of Hawaii, Tahiti, Mexico, Canada, and other major U.S. cities on the site. Farish Media is also putting the finishing touches on a video for the Paniolo Preservation Society in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Ikua Purdy winning the World Bull Roping Championship at the 1908 Cheyenne Wyoming Rodeo. This video will air at the Cheyenne Wyoming Rodeo museum and be used as a promotional tool by the Paniolo Preservation Society…The company is on Oahu now  to shoot a commercial and sales video for the Beach Villas at Ko’Olina Resort and Marina.  The four-day HD production will feature not only the beach villas but also the style of the Ko’Olina Resort and Marina. Final productions will be seen on in-flight programming, website, and sales DVDs for the project. Farish Media will once again cover the Big Island Film Festival this month for organizers Leo and Jan Sears and provide footage to network affiliates in Honolulu.
